Wonder of Wine Country: Lancemore Presents Milawa’s Reimagined Property

The family-run Lancemore Hotel Group has unveiled a multi-million dollar revamp of Lancemore Milawa, its boutique property in Victoria’s High Country.

Award-winning interior designer Hana Hakim of The Stella Collective was engaged to transform the property into a contemporary country residence that celebrates the region’s distinctive four seasons.

The new look includes “intricate details”, “lavish finishes” and “flowing spaces”.

“As a special part of our family’s hotel portfolio, we wanted to elevate Milawa to the world stage and deliberately sought to work with someone with the vision to do just that,” said Julian Clark, CEO of Lancemore Group.

“The hotel was born from a dream of my parents and the Brown family winemakers many years ago and it is a great honor to carry on this legacy for the next generation of guests to experience.”

The hotel’s 40 rooms and suites, spread over two levels, feature polished concrete floors, bouclé daybeds or linen-covered sofas, custom woodwork, and commissioned artwork.

The hotel’s on-site dining space, Merlot Restaurant, is led by Executive Chef Aaron Jose, who brings over 20 years of culinary experience at award-winning restaurants, including Two-Hat Momo. He introduces a menu from the paddock to the gourmet plate that gives pride of place to local ingredients.

The pool area includes hammocks, cabanas and deckchairs where you can relax.

Located at the gateway to King Valley, the property is surrounded by vineyards, boutique distilleries and food producers including Brown Brothers, Hurdle Creek Still and Milawa Cheese Factory.
