Pernod Ricard Korea offers ‘sustainable bartending’ training for undergraduate students aged 19 or over majoring in hotel management to develop a culture of sustainability throughout the hospitality industry.



Pernod Ricard Korea (PRK), the Korean subsidiary of global wine and spirits company Pernod Ricard Group, announced on April 5 that it will offer “The World of Tomorrow’s Bar” professional training for undergraduate students aged 19 years or more specializing in hospitality management to build a culture of sustainability across the hospitality industry.

Sustainability is an activity that must be practiced in the whole process, from resource sourcing, product production, sourcing to consumption. PRK not only sources resources, manufactures products sustainably to practice sustainability, but also makes extensive efforts to work with partners and customers to practice sustainability at the consumer stage.

The “The World of the Bar of Tomorrow” training is Pernod Ricard’s program for practicing sustainability with partners, suggesting the concept of sustainability and various sustainable ways to practice while operating the bar. It also educates on the importance of responsible drinking and how to practice responsible service in bars.

PRK will offer this training to senior students of Dongseo University in Busan on April 5th.

Meanwhile, PRK has been providing this professional training for bar owners and bartenders since January, and so far, third term trainees have been trained.
