New concept hotel with Zoom-ready suites connects in Dallas-Fort Worth

A hotel with “zoom-ready” rooms is being built in the bustling DFW neighborhood of Euless.

The property is the fourth from IHG Hotels and Resorts Atwell Suites hotel in the United States The first two, in the Denver and Miami areas, are already open, and a third is expected to debut later this year near southeast Austin.

Atwell’s Euless location will be at SH 183 and Bear Creek, the company confirms; no other details have yet been made available.

After Euless, an Atwell site will open in Fort Worth, the company says. The $5.5 million project is expected to be completed in late 2023, at 2540 Westport Pkwy.

The Atwell Suites are aimed at business and leisure travelers planning typical stays of four to six nights. One highlight is a two-story lobby containing The Common, a second-floor public space blending private and shared spaces. The property offers free breakfast, a bar, a swimming pool and a spa.

IHG spokesperson Jessica Twine said rooms at Atwell hotels are “Zoom-ready.”

“Atwell Suites properties are ‘zoom-ready’ because instead of an unmade bed and luggage in the background of a virtual call, guests can sit in front of an attractive gallery wall above the sofa of their bedroom. It’s a perfect backdrop for virtual meetings,” says Twine.

In addition to a gallery wall, each room has a kitchenette, 55-inch TV, sofa bed, and work area equipped with a desk.

IHG says more than 20 Atwell properties are under development across the country. This includes another Texas in the Hill Country town of Kerrville.

“The Atwell Suites brand is tailor-made to meet the significant demand from the upper midscale segment for a new brand of suites,” said Keith Barr, CEO of IHG.
