Capella Sydney ramps up recruitment ahead of opening

The highly anticipated Capella Sydney is preparing for its opening in March 2023 with a recruitment campaign to recruit top talent from a variety of divisions.

At its Career Open Day, which takes place at Torrens University Sydney on November 9, potential candidates will be invited to learn about the company and learn about upcoming job opportunities and future plans.

Capella Hotel Group Vice President of Human Resources Jacinta Soh and Director of Learning and Talent Development Richmond Kok, guest speakers, will also share their perspective on careers within the hotel company.

Capella Sydney will be the first Capella hotel to operate in Australia and is expected to set a global benchmark for luxury accommodation, cuisine and cultural immersion.

The 192-room hotel, which spans eight levels, will include three ground-floor food and beverage venues, a wellness offering as well as wedding and event spaces.

Located in the heritage-listed Department of Education building near Circular Quay, the property will blend old and new with historic architectural elements alongside a contemporary design aesthetic.

In February, the band announced Marc von Arnim as Managing Director of the new hotel.
